  • Donations to Young Hero’s Business Inc., NFP may be tax-deductible. Keep your receipt.

    • For cash gifts, keep a credit card statement, canceled check, or our written acknowledgment that shows the amount, date, and that no goods or services were given.

    • Gifts of $250 or more need our written acknowledgment saying the amount and whether you got anything in return.

    • Non-cash gifts (clothes, equipment, securities) may need extra records or an appraisal depending on value.

    • Donating appreciated property follows different rules and may give extra tax benefits.

    • Non-cash donations over $500 require IRS Form 8283.

    • Deductions can be limited by your adjusted gross income; unused amounts may be carried forward up to five years.

  • We accept gifts that support our programs; all donations are reviewed for safety, relevance, and storage. We cannot accept items that pose health/safety risks, need major restoration, or are unlawful. Acceptance is final only after review; we will confirm and send written acknowledgment listing items and receipt date but not tax value. Donors must determine fair market value and consult a tax advisor.
